Vegan Chocolate Cake

This vegan cake is a really simple, yet very tasty cake.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup water
  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon distilled white vinegar

Step by step

  1. Gather all ingredients.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  3. Sift flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, and salt together in a large bowl.
  4. Add water, oil, vanilla, and vinegar; mix together until smooth.
  5. Pour mixture into the prepared pan.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 45 minutes.
  7. Serve with berries.
